Where hope began
Mukuru
Project Restore Hope's story began in Mukuru, one of Nairobi's largest and most impoverished slum communities. For many children growing up here, poverty means much more than having less.
Families live without reliable clean water, adequate sanitation, safe drainage, dependable waste collection, or many of the basic services most of us take for granted. Some children have lost their parents, resulting in homelessness. Some arrive at school hungry.
This is where Project Restore Hope chose to stand. Working alongside Bishop Bonface Mang’eti and the people of Mukuru, we believe that where a child is born should never determine how far that child can go.

We restore hope where poverty threatens a child's future.
Rather than providing only temporary assistance, we focus on lasting change investing in education, strengthening families, improving health, and developing future leaders who will lift their own communities.

Meet Bishop Bonface
The pastor who keeps going back for one more child.
Bishop Bonface Mang'eti founded Glorious Gospel Centre and Glorious Group of Schools in Mukuru, Nairobi. For decades he has taken in orphaned children, brought children off the streets, fed families, and built classrooms — believing that no child in Mukuru is beyond hope.
Anthony was living on the streets of Nairobi when Bishop Bonface found him and brought him to Glorious. Sofia was orphaned as a small child and given a family there. Both of them now dream of becoming doctors. Every story on this site begins with someone who refused to walk past a child in need.

Osman Adan
Osman Adan completed his KCSE in 2024 with a B- and dreams of pursuing a Bachelor of Pharmacy. However, severe financial hardship and his father’s illness have prevented him from joining university.With support from GLOHA Family Welfare and Project Restore Hope, Osman has renewed hope of continuing his education and becoming a pharmacist who can serve his community.

Zilpah Shirwatso, a 20-year-old from Uasin Gishu County, is preparing to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at Machakos University. Walter Rawayo
Walter Rawayo, a first-born son from Busia County, is pursuing Law at the Kenya School of Law despite significant financial challenges. With school fees, accommodation, food, and other essential expenses placing a heavy burden on his family, staying in school has not been easy.Support from GLOHA Family Welfare and Project Restore Hope has given Walter renewed hope and helped ease the financial burden as he works toward his dream of becoming a lawyer.

Wakhungu Levis Emmanuel is a 19-year-old student pursuing a degree in Business and Information Technology at the Cooperative University of Kenya, Karen Campus. Coming from a humble family with multiple responsibilities, he is determined to complete his education, build a successful career, support his parents, and give back to his community. With his university fee requirements still pending, Wakhungu is seeking support to continue pursuing his dreams.

Stecy Muhatia is a 20-year-old student pursuing Catering and Accommodation at Rift Valley National Polytechnic. After completing her first semester, financial difficulties forced her to defer her studies. Despite this setback, Stecy remains determined to return to college, complete her training, build a successful career, and create a better future for herself and her family. She is seeking support to raise the KSh 67,189 needed to continue her education.

Shila Cherotich is an 18-year-old aspiring university student preparing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science at the University of Kabianga. Having overcome financial challenges throughout her education, she remains determined to achieve her academic goals. With her family facing significant financial hardship, particularly following her father’s life-changing accident, Shila is seeking additional support to help make her university dream a reality.
